Gastrostomy feedings for children involve tubes placed through the abdomen and into the stomach. Through this tube, children can consume medication, liquids, and formulas. Following your child’s discharge from a hospital, a referral will be issued to have one of our medical specialists in McAllen visit your home to care for the gastrostomy tube and conduct feedings and medication intake.

With our pediatric private duty nursing (PDN) service, you and your child will have 24-hour access to our team to conduct routine gastrostomy feedings. If his/her doctor has prescribed all feedings to take place at home, then a pump and all necessary supplies will be ordered and delivered to your home prior to your child’s release from their hospital.
